If you need to leave the classroom to get a drink of water from a drinking fountain you may do so:
- During individual and small group activities
- At the beginning of the day
- After specials (PE, art, etc.)
- After lunch
If several students need water at the same time a list is created and students will get water two at a time while the rest of the class is learning.
It is okay to have a water bottle in the classroom that has a pop-up top. Most fourth grade students are not ready to use a screw off top, so make sure the cap is a pop-up top.
